The singer and the performer

Claude Steben was born in 1942. Spotted as a singer in 1964, he began his career in Fernand Gignac's cabaret. Claude obtains some hits on the charts with “If I claim”, “Marie”, “Everything works out” (when we love each other), “Tijuana” and “un monde” (il mundo).

In the 1980s, Claude Steben made a return to singing and enjoyed major success with "It's raining tears", performed in duet with Christine Chartrand. In 1983, he presented with the singer Carole Cloutier, the show "Quebec en Balade" in Brittany and Quebec.

Radio and TV presenter

From 1967 to 1974, Claude was a radio host, hosted the show Nous deux at CFTM, opened his singing school in Quebec and founded the record company “Lion”.

In 1975, Claude gave up singing and became a host at Télé-Capitale (Quebec). In 1978, Claude played Captain Cosmos, the playmaker of the daily show he created for children entitled "Les Satellipopettes" at CFTM, which was the first television quiz for young people. This popular program gives rise to recordings on discs and shows presented throughout Quebec.

From 1980 to 1986, conference tour with Thérèse Labrie (in the role of Marie-Hélène) in Quebec schools to raise awareness in primary 4, 5 and 6 of the problems of their age such as drugs, self-responsibility, the phenomenon of winning, with the slogan “If you have a problem, speak up! »

The actor and
Grandpa Dodo

Since the 90s, he has been writing the play “Kaly” for primary school children which he presents with his wife Thérèse Labrie in schools in Quebec.

 

He composes songs and nursery rhymes with his daughters Karine and Sarah Steben and his grandchildren Julian and Asia-Rose.

 

He becomes the Grandpa Dodo who transports your little loves to a sweet sleep.Discover his nursery rhymes
